GAZA, (PIC)-- The PA government in Gaza Strip led by Ismail Haneyya on Sunday denounced the Israeli occupation authority for deciding to expand the Maaleh Adumim settlement and confiscating 12,000 dunums of Palestinian lands in the process. Dr. Yousef Mansi, the minister of public works and housing, said in a statement on Sunday on behalf of the government that the IOA expansion of Maaleh Adumim and adding more settlements to it targets encircling the eastern flank of occupied Jerusalem and putting hurdles between southern and northern areas of the West Bank. The minister asked the world community to shoulder its responsibility towards the ongoing usurping activity and stealing of Palestinian lands, and to pressure the IOA to halt its arbitrary practices against Palestinian lands in the West Bank and to stop all schemes aimed at expropriating those lands in violation of all international agreements and treaties. The IOA is constantly working on building more settlement blocs and settling new "usurpers" while forcing the indigenous people out of their lands, Mansi elaborated. He asked the legal institutions worldwide to expose those practices and violations |
