Rejim Zionis menangkap 12 penyokong Hamas hari ini.

Rabu,04/02/2009 - Tentera Zionis-Israel hari ini telah menangkap 12 rakyat Palestin di Jenin, al-Khalil dan Nablud. Mereka yang ditangkap berumur dari 15 hingga 17 tahun. Tindakan tentera Zionis-Israel yang memecahmasuk dan menggeledah rumah rakyat Palestin. Tentera Zionis-Israel turut merampas barang seperti PC, telefon bimbit dan lain-lain.

Alasan mereka ditangkap adalah kerana mereka bersama mendokong perjuangan Hamas. Operasi ini bermula sejak hari Selasa.

Olmert dan Barak ingin serang Gaza lagi.

Rabu,04/02/2009 - Perdana Menteri Israel Ehud Olmert dan Menteri Pertahanannya Ehud Barak berkata mereka akan serang Gaza sekali lagi dalam serang balas terhadap roket buatan rumah yang dilancarkan ke arah bandar-bandar Israel yang berdekatan.

Walaupun provokasi itu mungkin tidak seberapa tetapi mereka akan mengambilnya dengan serius dan kemungkinan serang ke atas Gaza kali ini akan lebih dasyhat.

Al-Bardawil: Jawatankuasa undang-undang dan kumpulan pejuang bagi menyelesaikan isu tahanan politik dibentuk sebelum dialog.

Rabu, 04/02/2008 - Dr Solah al-Bardawil, seorang ahli parlimen dan anggota HAMAS menegaskan di Kaherah bahawa perbincangan masih berlangsung dengan para pegawai Mesir tentang persetujuan melaksanakan ‘tempoh bertenang’ dan gencatan senjata. Beliau turut menegaskan persetujuan juga telah dicapai untuk membentuk beberapa jawatankuasa yang akan menyelia pembukaan pintu sempadan Rafah.

Beliau berkata dalam satu kenyataan khas kepada “Pusat Informasi Palestin” pada hari Selasa (2/3), “setelah memantau perbincangan-perbincangan yang berlangsung di Kaherah sejak tiga minggu lalu di antara delegasi HAMAS dan pihak perisikan Mesir yang diketuai oleh General Omar Sulaiman, dan tentang cara-cara yang perlu bagi membuka kepungan terhadap rakyat Palestin melalui cadangan dikemukakan Mesir melalui inisiatifnya, maka pada hari ini (Selasa, 2/3) delegasi HAMAS telah bertemu dengan Menteri Mesir, Omar Sulaiman. Beliau telah mendengar pandangan HAMAS berhubung ‘tempoh bertenang’, mengangkat sekatan dan kepungan serta membuka semula sempadan Rafah.

Sebagaimana delegasi HAMAS turut mendengar cadangan dikemukakan Mesir berhubung mengadakan dialog kebangsaan Palestin serta isu pembangunan semula Gaza.” Al-Bardawil juga mengatakan bahawa pembentukan beberapa jawatankuasa khusus bagi pembangunan semula Gaza telah dipersetujui, sambil menegaskan bahawa isu membangunkan semula Gaza dan penyaluran bantuan kemanusiaan hendaklah dipisahkan sama sekali daripada isu-isu lain yang menjadi pertikaian dalaman seperti isu mewujudkan ‘tempoh bertenang’ dengan musuh Zionis.

Egypt detonates tunnels, installs surveillance cameras along borders with Gaza

RAFAH, (PIC)-- The Egyptian government destroyed more tunnels along its borders with the tiny Gaza Strip that were used by Gazans to bring food and basic needs into their besieged Strip, Palestinian sources and eyewitnesses confirmed. The Israeli occupation government destroyed nearly one-half of the tunnels along the Gaza-Egypt border during its brutal war on Gaza last month, the sources added. The Egyptian government also halted fuel supply to Gaza Strip, which aggravated the suffering of the Palestinian people there, especially that no fuel is being supplied to Gaza from the Israeli side. Sensor cameras were also installed by the Egyptian security forces on top of high building to monitor the borders with help from American, German, and French experts with the aim to uncover and destroy all the tunnels. Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni, and her former US counterpart Condoleezza Rice signed an agreement to block smuggling of weapons to the Palestinian people in Gaza who are under the Israeli occupation. The French government also sent a frigate to block the sea of Gaza. In the same context, the Egyptian Al-Ahram news paper quoted "responsible" Egyptian source as asserting that the Egyptian government has decided to seal off the Rafah crossing point by this Thursday, and that it would open the gate for humanitarian reasons on the time Egypt deems suitable. The Egyptian decision comes amidst growing public demand in the Arab, Muslim, and international communities to lift the unjust economic siege on the 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza Strip, especially after the devastating war unleashed by the Israeli occupation government on the tiny Strip, which left more than 7000 Palestinian victims and displaced tens of thousands of families.

Oxfam: Israel blocks half of Gaza needs

GAZA, (PIC)-- The British organization Oxfam international accused Israel of barring the arrival of more than 50 percent of the Palestinian citizens' needs in the Gaza Strip through the closure of border crossings despite the disastrous situation of Palestinians there which was further aggravated by the war. Commenting on the UN efforts to raise funds for Gaza, Oxfam said, in a statement received Tuesday by the PIC, money alone could not solve the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. "It is not enough for donor countries to reach out for their check books. They must also press Israel to open up the border crossings and make sure their aid money is used effectively," Oxfam executive director Jeremy Hobbs said. Hobbs also said that Israel allows in small amounts of food not enough for Gaza people who are in urgent need of vital supplies, highlighting that Israel must open all crossings in full swing without further delay. The Oxfam official noted that the use of Karam Abu Salem crossing in south Gaza, which cannot meet the urgent needs of the citizens in Gaza because of its remoteness, is inappropriate and a waste of resources. Muslims, Christians in Jerusalem united against the Israeli excavations

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Palestinian Muslim and Christian figures have highlighted the importance of the Palestinian unity in protecting occupied Jerusalem from the intensified Israeli practices to judaize the city. Dr. Ekrema Sabri, the chairman of the higher Islamic authority in Jerusalem, who was present at the conference, highlighted the dangers that engulf the occupied city and the holy Aqsa Mosque as a result of the Israeli hostile practices and excavations in the city. He pointed to the collapse of a classroom in an UNRWA-run school in the Selwan suburb, which is close to the walls of the Mosque. Patriarch Michael Sabbah, of the Latin Christian Church, stressed that the Palestinian people have clear legal rights in Jerusalem that the entire world is aware of. "Simply speaking, we want our land that was occupied in 1967 to be returned to us to establish our independent state with Jerusalem as its capital", asserted Sabbah, adding that Palestinian unity would play strong and crucial role in achieving this goal. Adnan Al-Husseini, the city's governor, blamed the UNESCO for its "feeble" action in protecting the city's heritage against the Israeli deliberate distortion. For his part, the prominent Palestinian Christian leader archimandrite Atallah Hanna, of the Orthodox Church, underscored that the Israeli war on Gaza was a big conspiracy that is not limited to destroy Gaza and Hamas Movement, but, he added, the brutal war was targeting the entire Palestinian people regardless of their political or religious affiliations. The archimandrite, furthermore, deprecated those who applauded Israeli president Shimon Peres during the Davos forum, stressing that those who applaud criminals are also partners in the crime. The prominent Muslim leader in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands Sheikh Raed Salah concluded the conference by exhibiting pictures exposing the Israeli conspiracy to demolish the Aqsa Mosque, warning that the Israeli excavations under the Mosque reached alarming levels. Persatuan doktor Arab bentuk AJK bangunkan Gaza.

Selasa, 03/02/2009 - Persatuan Doktor Arab telah membentuk satu jawatankuasa yang terdiri daripada ahli akademik seluruh Mesir. Tujuan jawatankuasa ini adalah untuk menilai dan membangunkan semula Gaza. Mereka akan ke Gaza untuk menghimpun permasalahan dan menyediakan solusi serta cara perlaksanaannya.

Antara yang menganggotai jawatankuasa itu ialah bekas menteri perumahan Mesir, Ir. Hasbullah Kafrawi dan wakilnya Dr. Adil Jawab. Jawatankuasa ini telah dicadangkan oleh para pakar, ahli akademik dan akan di pantau oleh Liga Araber Arab. Jawatankuasa itu turut dianggotai oleh pakar dari pelbagai bidang lain.

Terkini : Israel akan membina terowong antara Gaza dan Tebing Barat.

Dalam satu dialog dengan pelajar di Universiti Ben-Gurion pada Isnin lalu, Menteri Pertahanan Israel, Ehud Barak, mencadangkan untuk menggali sebuah terowong yang akan menghubungkan Semenanjung Gaza dengan Tebing Barat Bank bagi tujuan mewujudkan apa beliau sifatkan sebagai “kesinambungan geografi”.

Terowong yang dicadangkan adalah sepanjang 48 kilometer dan akan kekal di bawah kawalan Israel manakala Penduduk Palestin akan menguasai lalu lintas dalamnya. Beliau menambah kos terowong seperti itu adalah antara 2 hingga 3 bilion USD dan menambah kos tersebut adalah munasabah.

Kenyataan beliau datang sebagai sebahagian daripada kempennya untuk menjadi Perdana Menteri Israel pada pilihan raya akan datang. Pengerusi Parti Buruh itu membidas Parti Kadima dan berkata Kadima tidak mampu melakukan perubahan dalam partinya dan tidak boleh melakukan perubahan dalam negeri itu.

TV Fakhurah kumpulkan lebih dari $300 juta untuk sektor pendidikan Gaza.

Selasa, 03/02/2009 - Stesyen televisyen Fakhurah berjaya mengumpulkan $100 juta untuk membantu membangunkan sektor pendidikan dan pembinaan semula infastruktur di Semenanjung Gaza. Sementara itu, sumbangan dana terkumpul untuk kos membaikpulih badan pendidikan mencapai $200 juta.

Pihak televisyen Fakhurah dari Qatar ini telah melakukan kegiatan pengumpulan dana untuk membantu anak-anak Palestin selama satu minggu . Kegiatan pengumpulan dana tersebut dimulai sejak 26 Januari hingga 1 Februari 2009 dan dana terkumpul adalah sebanyak $398,763,286 Riyal Qatar atau USD106 juta.Sementara itu isteri Emir Qatar, Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Misnad telah memberikan sumbangan peribadi berjumlah $200 juta sebagai modal dasar gerakan waqaf Fakhurah untuk tujuan membaikpulih sistem pendidikan di Semenanjung Gaza.

PBB tolak alasan Zionis menyerang infrastrukturnya, akan jalankan siasatan sendiri.

Selasa, 03/02/2009 - Para pegawai PBB mengumumkan badan dunia itu akan menjalankan siasatan berhubung serangan Zionis terhadap beberapa bangunan miliknya semasa serangan terhadap Gaza baru-baru ini. John Holmes, pegawai bertanggungjawab tentang hal ehwal kemanusiaan Bangsa-bangsa Bersatu berkata pada hari Isnin (2/2), badan dunia itu sedang menunggu keputusan penyiasatan yang dijalankan oleh pihak berkuasa Zionis tentang serangan terhadap gudang agensi bantuan bagi pelarian Palestin (UNWRA) dan sebuah sekolah miliknya. Namun beliau menegaskan PBB juga akan menjalankan siasatan sendiri terhadap kejadian tersebut.

Beliau menambah, “kami akan menjalankan siasatan sendiri berkenaan kes ini. Saya pasti kes ini akan membawa kepada berbangkitnya masalah pampasan dan gantirugi.”

Sementara itu, Karen Abu Zaid, Pengarah UNWRA berkata, “agensi kami mentaksirkan kerugian yang dialami kesan daripada serangan tentera Zionis terhadap gudang-gudang agensi kami dalam tempoh 8 tahun lalu adalah hampir satu juta dolar.” Beliau juga menambah, “kami juga telah menuntut ‘Israel’ agar membayar gantirugi terhadap semua kerosakan yang dilakukan, namun kami tidak pernah menerima apa-apa. Oleh itu, kami akan menuntut lebih banyak lagi gantirugi selepas serangan baru-baru ini. Semua gudang-gudang kami menerima kerosakan yang lebih besar berbanding apa yang berlaku sebelum ini.”

Specialist calls for forming int'l committee to probe mass executions in Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian ex-detainee, Abdelnasser Farwana, a specialist in prisoners' affairs, called Monday for forming an independent international committee to investigate the circumstances of executing innocent citizens during the Israeli war on Gaza in various ways and places including families found killed inside their homes and apartments. "The reason for our concern and our repeated demand for conducting investigation is what we daily hear of many testimonies and stories of painful and chilling cases of deliberate killings," Farwana underlined. The specialist noted that the IOA insists till now on not cooperating with the Red Cross or responding to many appeals for releasing citizens kidnapped during the war on Gaza or even revealing their whereabouts. He added that this Israeli behavior opens the way for many serious possibilities that threaten the lives of those detainees. The specialist said that dozens of Gaza citizens are still missing and their fate is unknown, adding that the IOF troops reportedly executed them during the war and buried their bodies in the areas of fighting and in secret detention places. Israeli drone kills Palestinian, wound four in Rafah

RAFAH, (PIC)-- In fresh Israeli violation of the ceasefire in Gaza Strip, an Israeli drone targeted a civilian car with a missile, east of Rafah city, killing one person and wounding four others. The martyr was identified as Ayman Abu Jazar, 25, who was affiliated with the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). Israeli political leaders, including Israeli premier Ehud Olmert and his foreign minister Tzipi Livni warned of "disproportionate" reprisal to Palestinian rockets fired against Israeli targets. The Israeli occupation army had killed more than 1340 Palestinian citizens in Gaza, and wounded more than 5500 others in 23 days of relentless attacks and air strikes on the tiny Strip that also damaged the infrastructure of the Strip completely. According to a report prepared by the international solidarity institution, and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, 936 Palestinian citizens, including 382 children and 97 women, were killed by IOF troops during the last month of January.
